  • Non-US citizens may need a visa to enter the US.
    It is your sole responsibility to ensure that you are eligible to enter the USA for the conference. If needed, an invitation letter for a US visa application will be provided for conference delegates after conference registration and payment. Delegates are required to indicate on their registration form that they will need an invitation letter for their US visa application.
  • Plan ahead - apply for you visa early.
    Depending on your country and citizenship, visa processing may take several weeks. If you need a visa, register for the conference as early as possible and pay your conference fees along with your registration so we can send you the invitation letter. We will not accept any visa delays or denied visa as an excuse for no-shows!

Call for Participation

SOCC 2014 is organizing a full-day SoC Tech Tutorial School for researchers, engineers and educators in the SoC community. The tentative program is available here, which features a series of lectures from renowned industry experts and academic researchers.

This year, SOCC offers Tutorial School Grants to graduate students for participating in the full-day lectures on SoC research and development with sponsorship from IEEE Circuits and Systems (CAS) Society Outreach Initiative. The grant covers the student registration fees for the SOCC2014 Tutorial and the SOCC2014 Conference. The accepted students are expected to register in advance for both SOCC2014 Tutorial and Conference. The registration fees will be reimbursed at the conference for those who attend the tutorial and conference.

ELIGIBILITY

The SoC Tech Tutorial School is specially designed to encourage graduate students to join SoC research field and gain insight of research challenges and opportunities. All applicants should meet the following eligibility requirements.

  • Applicants must be full-time students pursuing a Master’s /Ph.D degree in the field relevant to VLSI/SoC community
  • Applicants are student members of IEEE CAS Society. If you are not a CAS member yet, you are highly encouraged to join IEEE CAS Society now (student membership fee is only $10).
  • Applicants of the Tech Tutorial School Grant are not eligible for the SOCC Student Travel Grant.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Recipients of awards must confirm acceptance of the offer within 7 days after notification by emailing to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • Recipients should register for both SOCC2014 Tutorial and Conference within 7 days after notification. The registration fees will be reimbursed at the end of the conference for those who attend the tutorial and conference and return the feedback form.
  • Grant awardees are expected to attend the full-day tutorial school and selected conference sessions each day.
  • All recipients must participate in surveys to provide their evaluation, feedback and concerns.
  • The awardees are encouraged to timely share their conference experiences by using social media (twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)

A mandatory daily resort fee of $20.00 per room, per night, plus the current Clark County room tax of 12% (tax is subject to change), will be charged in addition to the room rates above. This fee includes:

  • Unlimited local phone calls (no long distance or international calls)
  • Two guest admissions per day to the Fitness Center
  • In-room internet access for one device per room per day (Property-wide and inter-property roaming available at that property for an additional fee)

Cut-Off date for the rates above is Tuesday, August 12, 2014.  After that time, the group rate will be offered based on hotel availability only.

Important registration information

  • All conference delegates must pre-register online through this web site.
    Exception for non-authors: we will as well provide on-site registration during the conference. Late registration fees apply (see below).
  • After registration, you will be forwarded to our secure online payment handled through PayPal.
    Note that you don't need a PayPal account to pay. To pay with credit card, just select the "Pay with a Debit or Credit Card" link on the PayPal order summary page.

  • Advance Registration payment must be received no later than August 2, 2014. After August 2 you must pay the late registration fee.
  • In order to appear in the program and the proceedings, each paper requires at least one paid full (= non-student) registration, together with the camera-ready paper submission from one of the authors by June 30, 2014; Student registration is not counted towards this requirement. In case of an author with multiple papers, a single registration of the author is sufficient for the multiple papers.
  • IEEE Members: In order to qualify for the membership rate, you must list your IEEE membership number on the registration form.
  • Non-student conference registration fee includes all social events (banquet, Las Vegas Show, etc.), technical sessions, and one conference proceedings on USB stick. Student registration does not include banquet and Las Vegas show. Non-attendance at one or other of these events cannot be reimbursed.
  • The Hoover Dam Tour on Friday afternoon is not included in the registration fee. Tickets can be bought via the online registration and payment page. Space is limited and seats will be granted on a first-come, first-serve base.
  • Paper submission cancellation must be received, in writing, by August 1, 2014.  Cancellation requests received after August 1 cannot be permitted.
  • Conference cancellation requests must be received, in writing, by August 18, 2014. A processing fee of $25.00 will be deducted. Refund requests received after August 18 cannot be guaranteed.
